My Undying Love for Denim

If you know me, you know how much I love a good pair of jeans. I have way too many to count and my addiction for denim isn't stopping any time soon. I don't know what it is about me and jeans, but whenever I see a great pair, I just have to have them.

I have a special fondness for mom jeans/vintage denim. There's just something about a high waisted, straight leg jean that makes me all fuzzy inside. Plus, I love a good #90sMomButt look (you know what I'm talking about) I always get asked about what brands I can recommend when it comes to denim and honestly, only 3 come to mind.

The first is sadly not available here in the Philippines. But the brand MONKI do an insanely good dupe for those vintage Levi's 501s I know you see all over Tumblr and Instagram. I get my jeans whenever I go to Malaysia and they last (and wash) really well. They also have a button fly, making them tighter in the tummy area (which I love!) If you check my Instagram you'll see just how many times I've worn my jeans from Monki and they're honestly super comfortable! Size wise, I'm a waist 25 in my MONKI jeans.

And then we have ZARA. Frustratingly enough, I bought a pair of the "Vintage Mom Jeans" style and they've since gone out of stock! I've gotten a bunch of DMs from people asking me why they can't seem to find them in any ZARA store and when I asked they said that they don't know when they're going to receive new stock because the jeans have been wiped out and are super saleable! They also have them in shorts form and I was able to snag the black high waisted ones too! They recommend to just keep checking back for the jeans especially now that it's summer. When it comes to the ZARA jeans, I'm a US 2 and for the shorts I get a looser fit (US 4).

Last we have TOPSHOP. I've been shopping in TOPSHOP for as long as I can remember! From cropped tops to those famous JONI jeans, they're definitely a brand that know their denim. I recently fell in love with their MOTO Raw Hem Straight Leg Jeans (what a mouth full!) These are the perfect jeans for those of you that want a high waisted but still "vintage" style pair of denim. Although pricier than ZARA and MONKI, they are the most accessible and have a ton of washes. I have the black and acid wash pairs and I love them both equally! When it comes to my size in TOPSHOP I get the Waist 25, Leg 30 (I love the exposed ankle look, plus it looks good with heels, sneakers and even boots!)

Where do you buy your jeans?
