Things I'm Loving Right Now
12:27:00 PMHello everyone! I know last week's blog entry was a little deep and emotionally packed so I figured this week's would be somewhat of a review, something light and girly that I hope you guys will enjoy.
As you all know, I love makeup and skincare. I constantly read reviews online and wait for new launches to come out. I also have a weekly column on Project Vanity called the Beauty News Roundup where I write about all the latest in the beauty world (and there's A LOT) so I feel like this blog will start to reflect more of my girly side too. I never praise a product that I don't believe in. If you guys know me, I'm very honest and when brands generously send me their products, they kindly never force me to write about it- unless I love it.
Which is why whenever I bring up a product on this blog, I want you guys to know that it's me being 100% honest with you all, and that I would never talk about something I didn't use or believe in. With that being said, here are a few bits that I'm currently obsessed with and never without. :)
Belo Baby Hand Sanitizer (P49.75)
First of all, let me just say that this is such a dream product for me. I am such a clean freak and I'm terrified of germs. I disinfect everything before I use or touch them (my family, workmates and lovingly understanding boyfriend- who can't eat until I clean everything on dates, can attest to this) so when Sample Room Philippines sent me these adorably packaged hand sanitizers, I went bananas! The Belo Baby Hand Sanitizers are available in 3 scents (Green Apple, Blueberry and Peach) and they're not only hypoallergenic (yay for my sensitive skin) but they kill 99.9% of germs too! My personal favorite is the Green Apple scent and my mother lovingly took the Peach scented one and placed it in her bag as soon as I let her smell it. Definitely a must have if you guys are looking for a gentle but germ-killing pal for your bag!
In Her Element Nourish & Cleanse Balm (P595)
I know this is going to sound so biased because my Girl Boss from Project Vanity Liz created this but OH MY GOODNESS GUYS! This is the cleansing balm where dreams are made. Gentle on my skin but tough on waterproof makeup this coco smelling pink balm is EVERYTHING. I love using this to remove my full face of makeup after events and functions and it really delivers. I use about a scoop and gently massage it all over my face. It melts on your face and provides the most amazing moisture while breaking down everything from waterproof mascara to my budge proof lippe. I then take a face towel, soak it in warm water and gently wipe off the balm and presto! My skin is clean, soft and fresh. It's seriously SO.GOOD. Liz goes in-depth on the balm in this PV article. Check it out!
Elizabeth Arden 8-Hour Cream ($19)
I've been wanting this multi purpose cream/gel for a while now after tons of my favorite YouTubers rave about this being the "most amazing lip balm ever." I actually bought this for $19 at the Incheon Airport after our winter trip to Korea because my lips, hands and legs were dying. They were so chapped, dry and painful from surviving the -15 degree weather (yes, you read that right) and I needed a quick fix. Luckily the airport had some in stock and I took the chance. So far, so good! Don't get me wrong, I will always go back to my Kiehl's Mango Lip Balm but this is like the most nourishing and moisturizing lip balm EVER! My lips were able to go from chapped and dead to plump and smooth in just 3 days of using this! I really don't know how I'm going to survive when this runs out... luckily I'm hitting up Taiwan tomorrow so I'm grabbing myself a backup tube at the Duty Free!
Estee Lauder Pure Color Blush in Pink Tease
Not only an amazing product but this blush holds a very special place in my heart. Gifted to me by Carissa and the rest of the #EsteePhilippines team, this was the blush that started my love-affair with the brand. I orignally had their limited edition blush/highlighter in Tease and was heartbroken when it was discontinued. I remember writing to Carissa about it when she had emailed me about trying their new lipstick. I just randomly told her about it and come Valentine's Week I had this in my hands! It is the perfect shade of baby pink, giving my cheeks a very natural flush. Think of it as my perfect pink, because when applied to my skin it gives off a glowy but still matte like sheen to my cheeks. I can't do it justice but it's perfect. Just perfect. I know Estee Lauder is more on the pricey side but you can't put a price tag on QUALITY makeup and skincare. I've also been loving their Advanced Night Repair (more on that with my updated skincare routine) and my skin has been transformed! I used this blush on Valentine's Day and have been using it ever since. It's perfect!
What have you guys been loving recently? :)
