Better Late Than Never | US Beauty Haul
5:31:00 PMOh no... another beauty haul. Yes, my friends. I did it again. Well actually, my older sister Trina did. When she went to the US for work. So again, thank you Trin for your generosity!!!
Now these are just them beauty bits that I squealed for when I saw them on my bed. These do not include the ginormous cereal boxes of sugary goodness that Trina also bestowed upon her very grateful subject aka ME.
Suffice to say I've given all of these beauty bits a go for a few weeks and I can now give my honest opinion for each of them. So enough of the rambling, on to the reviews.
MAC Strobe Cream - Thank God for samples in the US! I love how generous they are over at MAC.com when you place an order, they always let you pick samples that you'd like to try. I've been dying for this cream ever since I saw Kylie Jenner's makeup artist apply this on the tops of her cheekbones- apparently it's a Kardashian secret ingredient to their glow, even Kendall loves it! This cream adds the perfect amount of glow and highlight to the face, making very matte bases just a bit more glowy and making the skin shine with that "healthy" gleam. Definitely saving up for the travel size version (based on other beauty blogs, the full size isn't necessary since a little bit of this product goes a long way- which I have to agree with!)
MAC Prep + Prime Skin Visage Base - Having never used any kind of primer aside from my Chanel Whitening Makeup Base in Mimosa, this product was very new to me. It has a bit of glitter in it, which may seem daunting at first, but is basically invisible when applied on the skin. I just use it around my nose and on my chin, where my makeup seems to disappear first.
MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation in NC30 - A repurchase. A new backup. You guys know how much I love and swear by this product. SO. GOOD.
Urban Decay + Gwen Stefani Lipliner in Ex-Girlfriend - This was such a surprise and I couldn't believe it when I saw the gorgeous gold and white packaging smiling up at me! Trina totally nailed it with this one! I didn't even ask for this- I was just lusting over it online and now I have it with me! I used this liner for 2 weeks straight when I first got it- it is the perfect mauve-nude-pink hybrid that dreams are made of. Very matte (and a little bit drying) the staying power of this liner is insane! Just be sure to moisturize your lips before applying.
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge - Remember when I was crazy and overly gushing over my Beauty Blender? 'What happened to it?' you might ask? Well, it got moldy. Yeahp, you read it right- MODLY. Amag. Ewwwwww and Huhuhuhu! My heart was completely broken and my under eye concealer game destroyed, I couldn't bring myself to spend another P1000 pesos on a sponge- so I did my research and found dupes. Being a big fan of the brushes of Real Techniques and the Chapman sisters in general, I knew I was going to like this sponge. But was it going to replace my love for the Beauty Blender? HECK YEAH. I actually find these sponges better, easier on the skin and give me an even more flawless coverage than the BB did. I highly recommend this if you're looking to purchase a beauty sponge. You can buy it over here on Sephora.ph
Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer - Based on the rave reviews from KathleenLights and Jaclyn Hill (two of my favorite Youtubers), I could NOT, not ask my sister to get this for me at the nearest Ulta/Target. This was probably the only thing (
Kat Von D Immortal Lash Mascara - If you ask me, Kat Von D can do no wrong. So when Trina surprised me with this bad boy mascara, I knew I was going to instantly love it. It coats each and every one of my lashes perfectly, providing a very natural but somehow dramatic effect! Plus, it holds a curl beautifully and does not smudge. Seriously Kat Von D is SLAYING the makeup world.
Kylie Jenner for Sinful Colors Nail polish in Magik Touch - YAS. YAS. YASSSS!!! It's the perfect summer shade and looks amazing on the hands and feet! The only thing I will say that it takes about 3 coats before the color is evenly put on the nails but hey, that just adds to the lasting power!
What beauty bits have you been loving this summer?

Hi Ms. Karla, i just want to ask if you used direct shipping from US to the Philippines? or via cargo? Thanks! Im planning to buy online too but I'm hesitant about the shipping fee and the package arrival. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry I only saw this now dear! I've actually never tried using any of those options- usually my sister or a friend is in the States when I have stuff delivered or when I shop online 😬
