Going NAKED: The Best Decision You'll Ever Make | Urban Decay NAKED Palette

Now I know I gushed earlier about the ZOEVA Cocoa Blend Palette (and I still stand by that palette as being one of my favorites) but I couldn't NOT talk about the palette that changed my eyeshadow game for the better- the Urban Decay NAKED palette.

Let me start things off by saying it took me a good year and a half to decide which NAKED palette I was going to purchase. For the longest time I felt like I needed the NAKED 2 in my life- those cool neutrals calling to me like a moth to a flame... and then when the NAKED 3 came out I felt like I needed the color pink in my life #indecisive4lyf

After weeks of research, YouTube videos and beauty blog browsing I was finally set on getting the first ever NAKED palette- I figured, it was the first one EVER, it's probably the best one. And boy was I right.

Now I know it all comes down to personal preference, and I know that at some point in my life, after a lot of saving up, I will most probably own all the NAKED palettes #hoarder (Urban Decay shadows are JUST THAT GOOD) but I feel like as of right now, I just reach for this palette on lazy days as well as days when I have events to host or whatnot. It's the perfect blend of smoky colors as well as browns and neutrals. You can seriously create a million and one looks with just this one palette. The only downside to this palette which a lot of beauty gurus and makeup artists mention is the packaging. This is something I have to agree with- it's velvet, which is nice but definitely not practical for a country as humid and dusty as the Philippines. Second, it's a flip eyeshadow case, so I feel like it isn't as sturdy as the tin packagings of the newer NAKED palettes. But I'm willing to overlook this because the shadows inside are amazing. Just try your best not to drop it!

I often use the colors Naked, Buck, Virgin, Half Baked, Sin and Sidecar but I have also tried the darker and more shimmery colors and have just as equally been blown away. Seriously such.a.good.palette.

So if you're still on the fence about which NAKED palette to get (better late than never!) might I suggest you go give the first NAKED a shot... it's definitely worth the price tag!
