Don't get me wrong- I love a good cut of meat. But it really does have to be a good piece. An excellently cooked, deliciously seasoned and perfectly plated dish for me to really want to try it. So you can imagine my excitement at heading to The Butcher Shop, a recommendation from my sister Trina, who we all know, is a certified foodie. Just check her Instagram for proof (but I warn you, you will scroll down feeling hungry as ever).
Got a love a good Mandal.
Thank you Birks_Phils for sending me these amazing beauties! I love them.
I'd like to think that there is no better place than when two, completely different yet beautifully similar places come together in one delicious merriment of flavors. This could definitely be said for yet another one of Hole in the Wall's treasures: Kwong's.
I blame my dream. no. I blame my love for English boys.
It cannot be denied. This had to happen.
Harry Styles and I remain good friends.
But Liam, he's my soul mate *insert heart eyed emoji here*
WARNING: Picture heavy post. This is me, being a complete and total fan girl. Feels like I'm 13 again. Don't like 1D?
This may change your mind. HAHA
And scruff.
And arms.
And those eyes.
And that smile.
Ahhhh to be young and in love again HAHA :))
Over the past few years I've been saving up money in order to travel and explore different countries with my Mom and sister Trina. I think I realized quite a bit back that at the end of the day, to go shopping and buy new things is great and fun, but to be able to go off into a new country, explore and experience a new culture and make so many fantastic memories is priceless. With that being said, my family and I jetted off to Vietnam for a couple days last March.
Going to Vietnam was truly an eye opening experience. From the busy streets that were filled with motorcycles (that didn't know when to stop- Pedestrians beware!) to the delicious (and quite deceivingly strong) coffee and healthy noodle soups- the vacation was a true test of my Faith and willingness to "explore."
Let's face it- the summer season is upon us. And with that, comes the unbearable heat. But hey, summer isn't that bad- we have an excuse to plan a trip to the beach with friends, a trip abroad with the family, there's no school which means there's less traffic and we can finally bring out our little shorts and cropped tops without people judging us (okay, maybe I judge from time to time- who wears skimpy shorts and cropped tops in December?!)
Even if the season has a right to be hot (like, ridiculously I'm-going-to-faint-get-me-out-of-here hot) it is only enjoyable when one finds themselves at the beach, sipping on a cold fruit shake, getting that nice golden tan. But for the rest of us stuck here in the city, looking good and feeling fresh despite the heat can be a big challenge. On a normal hot day, I'd choose to simply slap on a bit of my Chanel Le Blanc (since it has SPF 35) with some baby powder and then do my brows. Or you know, go out without any makeup on. But on those days where we have a little bit more to do and more places to go, it's nice to look good despite the heat.
I was able to find a couple of products that can actually withstand the Manila heat. I've found that these products stay on your face all day, not ending up all melted on your shirt.
